Here's Jack, ripping and tearing like mad.

Does he look thrilled?  Yup.

And this would be a most happy monkey hanging his new soldier on the tree.  Of course, tonight after he went to bed, we found it on the floor next to him.  He really, really likes it.

Excited?  Her?  Nope.  She just normally looks like an axe-murderer.  Oh, wait, that's Jack.

While her mother believes that her eldest takes after her father, I submit to you that, even as an infant, this one hated to rip paper.  Anal?  Nah.  She just takes after her mother is all.

Yup.  Thrilled beyond belief...

Yes, thrilled.  Absolutely thrilled.

I have no idea what he's doing.  I hope it's not contagious.

Didn't get a good shot at this one, because it made noise and Jack loved that.  Reminds me of the first year we put up a Christmas tree.  Some genius (that would be me) had the brilliant idea to purchase plain old bells - jingle and otherwise - around the bottom of the tree to insure that we would know when one of those little ... feline companions decided to get silly with the tree.  I don't know why I worried.  Every time Gilligan tried to climb it, it fell over.  Tish just stayed away.  Smart cat.

Yes, she's thrilled too - and you can see Jack desperately trying to get his little mug into the picture, too.

And it occupies a place of honor.

There were two other boxes in the big box - some of the tags had come off, so if we hosed up, I'm very sorry.  But the decorations are beautiful - thank you Very Much Marcia - the kids are working on more formal arrangements which will be forwarded to you shortly...  Thanks again!
